Children Learn by Imitation…

That is true, isn’t it? That’s how children learn… they watch mummy and daddy and they try to do the same… BUT… what if you had no mummy and no daddy to learn from? Then where or who do you learn from?

Emil longs for a loving family – are you that family?

Emil is one of those children without parents to teach him, yet in the harsh environment of institution living, somehow, he has learnt to be gentle, even when he has seen and known very little gentleness. Even though he is unable to speak, he shows his gentleness through his actions and he shows his desire for love and attention even more by hanging tightly onto a visitor’s finger.

It is his medical conditions which is the reason he is in an institution. He has Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. Yet with a loving family, i know he will thrive and he will grow into a wonderful young man. He is already 13 years old. He has waited so very long to know love and the support of a caring family. Please help him so that he does not wait any longer, please help him so that he will know that he is valued and loved just for being himself.

Are you the family who could give Emil the opportunities he might otherwise never have? If yes, please be brave, step forward and find out more. Contact Reece’s Rainbow.

You can also help by sharing his story far and wide so that his forever family might find him.

Another way is to give towards his very small adoption grant so that his forever family does not waste time looking for funds but can go get him as soon as possible. Please click on his name or picture to get to his profile page to donate.

Praying for him is the other way you can help him. Please do pray that his daily needs are met and that his forever family finds him real soon, because he will age out in a little over 2 years’ time.

Thank you.

Day 35: Libby for the Vanchura Family… Forty to Forever…

Today at Forty to Forever we are supporting a very special family… the Vanchuras are bringing Libby home. But they were originally supposed to bring Mac home but laws in his home country changed and it has left his adoption hanging. The Vanchuras have chosen not to be idle but to continue the work God has given them and to give another little sweetheart the love she so richly deserves… please help them meet those last expenses to bring her home…
Today’s Lent Devotion is so appropriate just after Palm Sunday… it speaks about praising God and how the Psalms are a great help and suggest that we make praise a part of our daily devotions… so go over have a read and get praising… syc

Our Goal is to raise $400 for Libby… $118 to go!

Today we were supposed to be raising money for Vanessa for the Abell family.  This time is bittersweet for so many reasons.  It is bitter because Vanessa’s adoption has had to be put on hold until Russia reopens to international adoption.  It’s tragic, because Vanessa must now still wait for her family… so much longer than is necessary.  No child should have to wait to be loved.  Heartbreakingly bitter… but it is also sweet.  God turns even the worst situations into opportunity for great good.

The Abell family was gracious in their time of grief.  They chose to bless another family while their adoption is temporarily on hold.  The Vanchura family also understands the pain of needing to give their child into the hands of God while they wait for their son’s country to reopen.  They are also allowing…

Heath Has A Family!!!

Yesterday at about 10.30pm, i was (still am) the happiest person on this earth! i found out that my precious beloved little Heath has a family coming for him!

See that red circle with the red arrow pointing to it? Those words made me so very happy!
See that red circle with the red arrow pointing to it? Those words made me so very happy!

Meet the Drake family. They are homestudy approved and have committed to him! And because God had worked the miracle of bringing in the funds before He brought in the family, they are fully funded! At least for the paperwork and travel required by Heath’s home country. i don’t know yet if they will need to do some fundraising to cover the expenses of the paperwork and medicals they have to do stateside. You can follow their journey at their blog.

The Drake family are coming for Heath! Hurray!

What you can do now is to pray, pray for them as they prepare to receive another child into their home, pray their children to be ready for a new brother and pray Heath’s heart to be ready for a life-changing experience. Pray also that their process will be smooth and without any hurdles so they can reach Heath faster. Pray for Heath’s health, pray that he remains healthy while waiting, pray that his daily needs are met.

Praise the Lord! i’m soooo very happy that my little Heath will soon have a mummy and daddy and brothers and sister to call his very own. 😀

PS: i was so excited to post this blogpost that i didn’t realise maybe some people may not understand the significance or how important this little guy is to me. He was the one my heart broke into pieces for (i first saw him in this post), he was the one i wanted to bring home so very badly, he was the one who led me into the world of special needs orphans and international adoption, he was the one God used show me what was the work He had for me at this time… and it has been 13 months and 4 days since i came to know about Heath and that is why this is the most joyous news to me. 😀
