Orphan of the Month for March and April… Angel Crafts Shop…

Thank you all for your generosity and support. We have managed to grow Becky´s adoption grant by a little bit in the last couple of months.

So it is time to meet another new child – introducing Timon!

13-year-old Timon awaits a family to help him achieve everything he can.

This 13-year-old boy is certainly a fighter. He went from being dependent on others for most things to being independent when he first entered care. Then when carers noticed the usually active boy slowing down, he had to go in for emergency surgery for enlarged ventricles and tumour removal. But he recovered well. After which, he went in for a second surgery to put in an external shunt at the site of where the tumour was. He bounced back from all that and is able to read and write. Although his speech is slightly slurred, you can see that this young boy is truly remarkable. And he needs a family to see past his hydrocephalus and see the potential he has, see what he can achieve if given the supportive, loving encouraging environment only a family can give.

Timon´s hope for a family to call his own is likely outside of his home country because of deep-seated social prejudice against disabilities and orphans. All this means an expensive international adoption.

His adoption grant with Reece´s Rainbow is currently at zero. i would like to change that and also get the word out there that this precious boy needs a family.

Would you help me?

You can help by shopping at Angel Crafts Shop in the months  of March and April. 50% of all sales goes to his adoption grant. You can share Timon´s story on social media and you can pray for him.

Thank you.

Thank You for Helping to Grow Their Adoption Grants… Angel Crafts Shop…

It’s time again for a summary of how your shopping has helped to grow the adoption grants of my Orphans of the Month for the months of September to December 2015.

Lucinda was my Orphan of the Month for both September and October. However, there wasn’t a sale in those months. BUT a very generous friend who supports my cause gave US$10 towards Lucinda‘s grant. So her grant grew by US$10 from that contribution. THANK YOU! And i am happy to report that since October, more donors have very generously given and her grant now stands US$1090 😀

Zayne was my Orphan of the Month for both November as well as December because he was also the child i chose to support in Reece’s Rainbow’s Angel Tree Special Fundraiser. With a few orders and a good amount from the LiL Christmas Market, you have helped to give US$112 towards Zayne‘s adoption grant. THANK YOU! And many other donors have given directly to his grant during Angel Tree and it now stands at US$3714.50 😀

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Please do pray for Lucinda and Zayne, for their daily needs, and most of all for a forever family to step forward for each of them.

Please continue to shop at Angel Crafts Shop to support my Orphan of the Month for January and February – Becky!

Thank you.

Orphan of the Month for January and February… Angel Crafts Shop…

It has been a really slow start to 2016 for me. i think mainly because we are still on school holidays 😉 But school starts up again tomorrow… so let’s get on with work, shall we?

i have looked back at both 2014 and 2015 with regards to my Orphan of the Month… it seems that it takes at least 2 months of exposure to raise some amount of funds for these precious children. So from 2016 onwards, each child will stay on as my Orphan of the Month for 2 months running.

So let me introduce to you the Orphan of the Month for January and February – Becky!

Becky will be 13 in September of 2016, which means she would age out of her country’s adoption system in 20 months! She is described as a pretty girl with a sweet nature and does her chores happily. She has delays in her language and cognitive skills. She loves music and dance and enjoys cartoons. She has a very slight limp due a small difference in the length of her legs.

Becky sounds like such a lovely child and she desperately needs a loving forever family to help her reach her full potential. She will not have the privilege of a good education (we have no information if she does go to school or not) or good support for her future. She needs a family to see her for the wonderful person she is and believe in her.

In Becky’s home country, she has little chance of getting adopted because of what are considered her disabilities, which are all very manageable; she just needs a caring family to be there for her and give her the support she needs. So her hope lies in a very expensive international adoption. A lack of funds maybe what stands in the way of her having a family.

i need help to make sure that is NOT the case.

You can help!

Simply shop at Angel Crafts Shop in the months of January and February and 50% of all sales will go to Becky’s adoption grant, held at Reece’s Rainbow. So start shopping.

You can click on her name or picture to find out more about her.

Please also pray for Becky’s daily needs and most of all, for a family to step up for her as soon as possible.

Thank you.
