Potty Training Progress & Cute Photos

So how has the potty training been going? Good!! i was really surprised. However, the 1st few days was really difficult – accidents everywhere – i nearly gave up. But on the 4th day, it all turned around & he started using the toilet regularly with only 1x or 2x accidents & then last Wednesday (5th July 2006), Tobias did it!! He had his 1st accident-free day – we were so very proud. & this was with a whole day outside as well, on top of that we had visitors from out of town to add to the excitement for the day. i was expecting to be able to write that we conclude our 1st accident-free week today but unfortunately, he pooed in his pants today – sigh! i was really upset but now am feeling better – an odd accident is to be expected so…

Now for some cute photos:
Here’s a photo of Tobias reading “newspaper” (he says they are newspaper but they are actually junk mail):

Here’s Daddy giving Tobias a ride around the horse:

Here’s Tobias & Daddy in our newly-setup hammock (Walter used his army-issued one):

It’s really so nice to have a hammock to sit in this nice warm weather.

Here’s Tobias with “chalk-face” (he was drawing with chalk on the terrace):

Here’s one of Tobias swimming in our neighbour’s little pool with their daughter Anastasia (Swiss-Russian):

Well, that’s it for now. Am so looking forward to more warm warm weather!

God is indeed Good!

i was feeling very much unappreciated last night – happens from time to time. But last night was bad. i even cried about it & of cos Walter was there to comfort me – funny thing was it was a little thing that he did which triggered the anger & tears … maybe i really need to re-evaluate myself, my life & my views?? Not sure about that yet.
However, God is Good – as always!
i woke up, did the morning stuff & had some time to read some short passages from the Bible before Tobi woke up. i was reading about Jesus telling the disciples that to be greatest they must be the one to serve, just as Jesus came to serve. It didn’t hit me till just now when i was reading the Word for today from a Christian group i am part of. Today’s Word was about how God’s Word can heal – then the healing started for me. i realised that God was comforting me this morning with His Word – that to serve is a privilege given to us to show His Love to everyone around us.
Praise God!
Thank You Father that You are so Good to us & Your Word is always relevant to our lives at any time & You love us so.

PS: Today we started Tobias in his Big Boy pants – he was so excited to put them on. He’s had 2x accidents this morning & done 1x pee in the potty so i hope & pray he gets the idea soon, hopefully by week’s end.

My hubby gave up watching football…

No, no – he didn’t give up following football entirely … but he did give up watching the very interesting (actually i’m not sure if it was interesting but am told it was) match between Brazil & Japan yesterday so that i could watch the only english-language series i truly follow here – LOST. There are so very very few good programs in english.

What’s so great about that?? Well, you will have to know that my darling husband is a huge, giant, big football fan – like i say to everybody who cares to listen:”He kissed the ground they walk on (of his favourite team – Liverpool).” & i am what is known as a ‘football widow’ (woman who is like one without a husband during football season). So this being football season, although Liverpool is not playing but they have players that are & of cos even if his team is not playing, it’s still football & this is a huge thing – World Cup – & it is being played so near to where we live now!

So i have to let the world know that my darling husband was so very very sweet & nice to give up watching a game for me to watch my show!

Now he’s contentedly watching the Switzerland vs South Korea match.
