Yes it's that time of year again… summer & off we went to Singapore for 4.5weeks ๐
Here's Tobias, all excited & on the way to the airport:
We flew Lufthansa this year so there was stopover at Frankfurt airport… we amused ourselves by walking around (not much to see) & taking photos, here's one of my fav shots:
Quite a few of our friends have had babies since we last saw them – so here's all the cuties we met up with ๐
Soen, Tiny Keng, Nathan, Shannon, Brie & Little Seth whom we didn't get to meet, unfortunately.
There were family dinners & celebrations to go to:
Kite-Flying with cousins at the Marina Barrage
Of cos we visited some famous sights as well:
Double Helix Bridge at Marina Bay
Art & Science Museum at Marina Bay Sands
We did not visit the museum but we did walk around the Marine Bay Sands Casion/Resort – no we didn't go in to play. One, we had the kids with us, Two, not crazy enough to pay the SGD100 just to go in & have a look. That's what Singaporeans have to pay just to go in – only for Singaporeans. The government thinks this will safe-guard its citizens from the bad habit of gambling.
Of cos we also spent lots of time visiting friends & family.
With Godpa Alan, his Godbrother, David & Godma Vivian
Sad that we didn't get a chance to take a photo with his other set of Godparents, Tim & Amy & their kids.
Cousins teaching Tobias to "snakeboard", Playing Transformers with Kai, Swimming Fun
Of cos how could we not do our annual walk along the beach.
We ate at the well-known & long-standing Prima Revolving Restaurant, which has been there since i was a little gal.
We visited the Night Safari but don't have pictures cos my camera is crappy for low light situations. But i did get this one at the entrance.
It is a really well-planned out Safari & we saw lots & walked lots. The tram ride was great! There are some parts which are accessible only by tram.
We also went to the BottleTree Park in Yishun.
Tobias had loads of fun catching LongKang fish (Drain Fish).
Here are all the fishes he caught.
Well, actually he only caught 3, the rest were given to him by this pair of brothers who caught the fishes with their bare hands! They staked out a corner & stuck their hand into the water, waited till the fish swam by & Voila! FISH!
Time passed all too quickly & before we knew it, we flew back home.
& then we were at Munich Airport, very early in the morning, waiting to catch our flight back to Zurich.
While mummy gets FREE hot tea & entertains herself, taking photos.
So till next year ๐
