Tobias is back!!!

Just a quick short post to say that my little bundle of joy is back to being his bouncy, noisy self again 😉
His energy started returning some time yesterday evening & this morning – thot he still complains of stomach pains every now & again – i think it’s just the stomach muscles trying to get back to normal.
It’s a record of 3x visits to the doctor for this one illness! We have never been to the doctor that many times in 1x week. It also took him longer to recover compared to last year’s.
Well, off to bed – i have to be up early tomorrow for my Women’s Day Away Seminar in Zurich.

Tobias ill, sick, unwell …

Yep, it seems that the virus has started it’s rounds – we are in the midst of a round of throwing up & fevers… sigh!
Since yesterday, i’ve changed & washed 2x sets of sheets, covers & duvets. Wipe down 2x sofas, changed & washed 4x sets of PJs & 2x sets of other clothes … Thank God it was my washing day so i could get most of them washed – the ones from today will just have to be hand-washed – sigh!

Tobias has been quite ill since Monday – he went to daycare in the morning complaining of a headache – we thot he was being whiny – but when i picked him up after lunch – they said he threw up 3x times (mostly water) – then he threw up on the way home & then another 4x times before he finally kept something down at about 11pm & fell asleep till about 5 am when he asked for more water. But he ran an almost constant fever … even today after seeing the doc & being on meds – sigh! We thot he was showing signs of recovery this morning – until he threw up at about 6pm – then another time before he fell asleep just an hour ago – we pray he will get better soon. The doc thinks it is a virus infection – which in Switzerland means ride it out. Sigh! But he also says it could be appendicitis (sp?) as Tobias felt more pain on the right side then on the left. The blood & urine test came out clean but we are to go back again tomorrow afternoon just in case.

The poor little guy has been really quite good about being ill – especially when he so hates to throw-up. He is most definitely more ill than he has been before – he doesn’t even have the energy to ask for a video to watch & he complains of pains (head & tummy) most of the time – sigh! i really do hope he gets better soon – he really hasn’t had much to eat or drink – sigh!

So do pray that he gets better asap!

i must say that i am grateful that Walter is here this time – unlike the last time & that trip to the hospital in the middle of the night.

We are all tried – haven’t slept much. Off to try & catch zzzzzzzz….

Flashback …. Singapore Feb/Mar 2008 …

So as promised in my last 2 posts – here’s a little summary of the happenings while we were in Singapore – 12th Feb to 18th Mar 2008.

There was the usual visits with family & friends & playdates, all the catching up with what’s up for everyone & who’s had a new baby – hehhehe 😉

There were lots of birthdays to go to – there was Walter’s & Franklin’s, my mum’s, then Caleb’s, then Ethan’s, then my Aunt & Uncle’s so in all i think that was 7x birthdays!!
Here are some pics of the cakes we stuffed our faces with:

We will most definitely miss all this lovely eating when we can no longer go during this Chinese New Year period – sigh!

Of cos, we managed some water activity – it being hot Singapore – well, actually it was half & half this time round – the 1st half being nice & warm & the 2nd half being rainy, still warm.
Here’s a little video of excited Tobias playing with the waves @ East Coast Beach:

Here are a couple of photos of him in other water activities:

Tobias really got into Thomas the Tank Engine but i think Walter is the one who is really excited about trains – hehhehhe – here’s a pic of the big guy & his train tracks @ Wanz:

Tobias also tried his hand at using chopsticks (it was those training chopsticks with guides for the fingers & joined at the top):

Tobias has also become quite a bowler this year 🙂

& here he is doing one of those crafty things (filling in some colour on a Hello Kitty pic which was then baked & cooled & could be hang – i think – now please know that we are not particularly fond of Hello Kitty but it was the easiest pattern for him to start with):

Oh & of cos the BIG thing while we were there was the opening of the Singapore Flyer (Singapore’s Version of the London Eye):
We went on it like the 2nd weekend they were opened to public – we even took my 90over grandma with us – she liked it!

So as you can see – all in all, it was a very busy exciting visit this time round 😉
Hopefully we’ll be able to make one more next year before we’ll have to move our visit to the summer holidays.
