Tobias’ 1st Swiss Haircut…

No, it’s not that we have never cut his hair – we normally cut it ourselves with a hair-trimmer/shaver or else we wait till we go back to Singapore & go to the Malay Barber for a cut.

This time i decided to try the Kids’ Hairdresser in the toy shop in Solothurn Old Town – i’ve seen lots of kids line up for their cuts & it seems to be quite good.
It was! It is!

The amount of fussing & squirming is very minimal compared to when we did the cut ourselves or when we did it at the Malay Barber. Maybe cos it was a pretty young lady doing the cut, maybe cos it’s a new thing, maybe he is just growing up – sigh! – my little guy growing up…

Anyhow, here are the before & after pics:

What do you think? Walter thinks it’s still too long – but i really didn’t want it tooooo short as he would look like a little rascal when he has it way too short. It’s all short around the sides & back & i asked her to keep the top a little longer – hoping to maybe grow that to a length where we could comb it – maybe.

Summer Fun…

So it has been a fairly good summer with a few very hot days, a few weeks of warm days & some rainy days  – our new pool & new kids tent came in quite handy…

Here’s Tobias enjoying his new (1.7m) pool by himself & with some friends:

Here’s Tobias enjoying his new Bob the Builder tent (we had it in the house when we 1st set it up as it was those rainy days):

The big person in the tent is Carlos who stayed with us for 2x months & was Tobias’ constant playmate 😉

Definitely hoping for more warm days to use the pool…

Sigh! Summer hols are coming to an end – we are going to see about a playschool/preschool for Tobias & i think he will start next week.
It’s called the Kangaroo Club & when i told Tobias the name, he asked,” Am i going there to learn bounce like kangaroo?” 😉
More about that once he’s had his 1st day there – it’s only for 1x morning a week.
Now i have to check how to get to the school.

Father-in-Law – a Blogger…

Yep, Grandpa Yoong, Walter’s dad is a blogger – check it out!

When we fixed up the computer at my in-laws’ place, we had no idea that my FIL will take to it so very well or even remotely envision him a blogger! The idea for fixing up a computer at their place was so that we could Skype with them & they could see their little “Happy Fruit” (Kai Si Gua) aka their grandson, Tobias. Now he’s on blogsphere writing about what he knows best – the government. He was a civil servant.

Let us know what u think of his blog.
