NaNoWriMo…

So i signed up for the NaNoWriMo this morning & committed myself to writing a novel in the month of November – 50,000words – that’s right little ole me will be doing this on top of all the other things that awaits me in busy busy always busy November – such as daily stuff, german classes, book fairs, DayAway, Christmas stuff etc…

But i’m EXCITED about it!! i’ve been such a giant fan of books, novels, reading, literature … now is the time to maybe see if all that really would translate into some writing skills – hahahhahaa ;p

So check back…i’ll try & keep posted about how i’m going with this… i signed up 2x days after the start & the pen has not hit the paper so i’m technically 4000words behind (they advise writing 2000words a day as an average to hit the 50,000 target by month’s end).

Send creative writing thoughts my way pls!

Prayers needed…

Some months back i posted about our friends’ little girl – Jillian – who has a very rare cancer. She has been undergoing treatment & chemo & had been doing quite well – however, just this week had taken a bad turn – please do pray for her & her parents & sister. Doctors think the cancer has returned & this is with still one more round of chemo yet to be given. Tests are currently being done – please do pray for strength for little Jillian & her parents & all their family. Also pray for God’s comfort & healing as she is in lots of pain. You can read details here.

Snow…

Yes that’s right – it snowed!
Autumn isn’t quite over – i think this is one of those early snows that won’t stay but still it was lovely to wake to a blanket of white.
Tobias was so excited – he woke & walked into the living room like he always does & then comes rushing back to me (in bathroom) saying,: "It’s winter Mummy, snow!"
Then he goes on to talk in great excitement about going skiing – he loves skiing – unfortunately we had to tell him – it’s not quite time to ski yet. He did want to go out & play in the snow – i said ok – but we never got round to it. We had spent most of the day, sorting through his old clothes & his hand-me-downs (which we have tons of – & are grateful for).

The snow actually started the night before – here’s my attemp at getting a picture of it in pitch darkness:

Here’s what it looked like this morning:

i had remembered posting about early snow falls last year or at least the year before but can’t seem to find it – it’s too late now…
Ok off to my cozy duvet & bed now…
