This is about mums…

So finally a non-tobi post – i read in the NYT online today a really interesting article – about momtini – check out the article & let me know what u think … Cosmopolitan Moms

i agree that moms need a break & not make their kids/family what their whole lives is about but i’m not sure about the spa party, cocktails bit. i’m sure these mums who do it do so with restain – at least most – but there’s always the odd accident, isn’t there? i’m not judging them – but i think i’ll do my relaxing with my 2x fav things – chocolate & a good book, or just a good old fashion chit-chat session with galfriends, maybe we’ll indulge & treat ourselves to a good Hi-Tea – now the question would be where to find good Hi-Tea at a reasonable price with child-friendly facilities here in Switzerland – ideas anyone?

My little “japanese” boy …

Got a few photos from a friend today – she took them when she & her little boy came to play. They seem to have a theme & of cos are cute so i thot i post them.
Here’s one of Tobias trying on a kimono PJ which i bought 2nd-hand off another mum.

Here’s one of him in the ball pool at an indoor playpark next to the Solothurn train station (notice the Japanese writing on his tee).

We are still a little under the weather – Tobias actually started another round of cough & runny nose – sigh! Pray that this will be the last round.

Little King & Drama …

Here’s a cute picture of Tobias as “king” (we ate lunch at BK’s today – mummy wanted to have a Bacon Double 😉

Doesn’t he look cute? 😉

He has also taken to being like a little “king” – showing his temper when he doesn’t get what he wants – he screams at the top of his lungs & after that, everything that happens is wrong – all is wrong – for example, yesterday he threw a temper in the bath, then he wanted out – i said wait, then i took him out, he wanted in & everything i did was wrong & he didn’t stop till he went down for his afternoon nap. It even went on a little during his bedtime – after i had left him to fall asleep, which he normally does with no problems – he talks himself to sleep. He has also started to do something else – when he doesn’t get what he wants & he knows that he’s not supposed to have it, he hits his hands on something hard several times & then comes to me & shows them to me, saying:”See u hurt your hand!” – wanting to be “sai-yang”.

Sigh! what can a mummy do??!!
Thank God i’ve just been told today by another mum that this stage of his life is at the worst from 2.5yrs to about 3yrs – we pray hard that he gets over it quickly & that mummy knows how to handle it wisely & without going insane.

We are both currently under the weather – a few weeks ago i was sick, then Tobias & now that he’s getting better, i’m getting sick again!
