Talking About Scenes…

Yes, every story is made up of scenes…

And that’s the progress i have made in my WIP (Work-In-Progress) – i have a scene list.

See this post for details: How a Scene List Can Change Your Novel-Writing Life.

i don’t have it quite the same as what is described there but i have date/time in novel-world, POV (Point-Of-View) and i have a short description of the scene. i must say the process took time but worth it. i now know where the story is going and i have managed to bridge a couple of gaps which were causing me much hair-pulling moments.

BUT… it has also shown up some potential problems, especially with my characters, so i’m now going back to the drawing board with my characters and getting to know them better by doing an interview with them. Something like this here.

By the way, has anyone reading this used the Snowflake method? i read about it in that scene list post but would like to hear personal testimony.

More progress to come this week? i hope so.

Cards and Bookmarks…

… that’s what we are selling to help raise funds for Jasper (Asia) over this Christmas season. (See the left column.)

There are some lovely handmade (stamped/painted) cards which are made by a wonderful friend who donated them to this cause. They are Thank You Cards and are super for kids to send their ‘thank-you’s for those upcoming Christmas presents.

We also have some unique Wooden Bookmarks. These are bookmarks made from real wood with interesting die-cuts images and words craved into them; they are Bookworm, Favourite, Break and Thriller. These would make a great stocking-filler or a small gift for an avid reader.

Going along with the wood selection, there are beautiful Wooden Christmas Cards to be had. 2 of the designs feature wooden ornaments which can be popped out from the card itself. These are very unique and would make a Christmas greeting to remember.

So if you are interested to buy, simply make payment into Jasper‘s adoption grant (click on his name), email me at sandra_chia(at)hotmail(dot)com the proof of payment (i have no access to see who gives to the grant – privacy issues, only the person in charge of the grants), along with your address and i will send that item out to you as soon as i see that email.

If it is easier for you to access Facebook, i also have the album here.

I would also greatly appreciate it if you would share this post with all your family and friends so that more can help. More people seeing this and sharing this also means more exposure for Jasper which means higher chances of his forever family finding him.

Thank you so much.

He and She Are HOME!…

That’s right! Heath and Heather are both home with their families!

Such sweet words! "Already Home" <3
Such sweet words! “Already Home” LOVE

Heath, the boy who led me into the wonderful heartbreaking yet amazing world of special needs orphans, the son of my heart, he is FINALLY HOME with his mama and papa in Texas! They arrived home today.

Once again, those sweet sweet words!
Once again, those sweet sweet words!

Heather was home already a little over a week ago but i waited till today to make an official announcement because they were both my first prayer warrior kiddos and will always always hold a special place in my heart. And i wanted them to share this day!

You won’t find a happier person today – at least in Switzerland.

Now if only my boys, Shane and Wesley, can find their forever families this Christmas, i would be over the moon! And of course, i want Jasper to find a family too.

Actually i want them all to find a family but this isn’t possible, so one at a time is how it will have to be.

Please dear God, bring my precious boys forever families this Christmas – it would be an out-of-this-world Christmas gift. Amen!
