It Is the Mulligan Stew 2013…

What is that? Well, Wiki defines it as an improvised dish said to have been prepared by American hobos in camps in the early 1900s. It is a sort of stew which is made of ingredients which are begged, scavenged, found or stolen.

But the Mulligan Stew i am referring to is made up of very different ingredients; it is made with love first of all, and with tears, and with big hearts. i am talking about the Mulligan Stew which is being brewed over at Micah Six Eight – Covenant Builders, which will benefit 7 families and 12 waiting orphans.

mulliganstew2013Hear the heart of the stew makers:

Our Mulligan Stew is a tasty community stew that will feed a whole host of orphans, because a whole host of Godly people from the adoption community threw a whole host of great ingredients into our stew pot.

There are more than 100 items simmering away in our stew pot. The total value of all of these items is well over $5,000.00. Every single one of these donated items has been accompanied by whispered prayers that God will multiply the gift.

Our stew’s been simmering for several weeks now. We’ve been praying for the Lord’s blessing on this meal.

Now we just need YOU to help us care for the orphan.

It is so very easy to help and every little bit helps make the stew even more yummy!

Simply head over to Micah Six Eight, donate to an adopting family and a waiting child, comment at that blog with your full name and you have a chance at one of those 100 over items in the stew!

Thank you very much.

Day 36: Gage for the Earleywine Family… Forty to Forever…

Today at Forty to Forever, we are trying to help the Earleywine Family meet an important target – they need a few thousand dollars by month’s end so that they can continue with their adoption or they will lose their referral. Little Gage needs to come home, the place where he is at is not known for good care at all. Please help where you can.
Today’s Lent devotion is about something we all love – feasting… and shouting out. But not just any old type of shouting out – shouting out for and about our Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ… have a read, think about how you will shout out during the Easter season… syc

Our Goal is to raise $400 for Gage… $305 to go!

GageToday we are raising money for the Earleywine family who is in a very difficult position.  They need a few thousand dollars by the end of the month to continue with their adoption, or they will lose their referral.  Their son is in a notoriously bad orphanage and needs out!  Here is their story:

“We are a Christian, home-schooling family. We have been married for almost 15 years, and we have been blessed with 6 children ages 12 to4. We love children, and are excited to open our home and family to more children that need a loving family and the care that we can provide to them. I have several siblings who were adopted, and I can remember the joy it brought to my heart to add them to our family when I was growing up. My Husband, Jayson was himself adopted…

Children Learn by Imitation…

That is true, isn’t it? That’s how children learn… they watch mummy and daddy and they try to do the same… BUT… what if you had no mummy and no daddy to learn from? Then where or who do you learn from?

Emil longs for a loving family – are you that family?

Emil is one of those children without parents to teach him, yet in the harsh environment of institution living, somehow, he has learnt to be gentle, even when he has seen and known very little gentleness. Even though he is unable to speak, he shows his gentleness through his actions and he shows his desire for love and attention even more by hanging tightly onto a visitor’s finger.

It is his medical conditions which is the reason he is in an institution. He has Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. Yet with a loving family, i know he will thrive and he will grow into a wonderful young man. He is already 13 years old. He has waited so very long to know love and the support of a caring family. Please help him so that he does not wait any longer, please help him so that he will know that he is valued and loved just for being himself.

Are you the family who could give Emil the opportunities he might otherwise never have? If yes, please be brave, step forward and find out more. Contact Reece’s Rainbow.

You can also help by sharing his story far and wide so that his forever family might find him.

Another way is to give towards his very small adoption grant so that his forever family does not waste time looking for funds but can go get him as soon as possible. Please click on his name or picture to get to his profile page to donate.

Praying for him is the other way you can help him. Please do pray that his daily needs are met and that his forever family finds him real soon, because he will age out in a little over 2 years’ time.

Thank you.
