Spring, it’s Spring…Glorious Spring…

Yes Spring has sprung – you know how i know – here’s how:

  1. The temperatures go above 10degrees – thot i must say that Winter is making a push back – i think there will be one big push from Winter before Spring finally blossoms.
  2. See this pretty little yellow flower – i know it’s not one of the most pretty ones but this is always the 1st flower to bloom after winter, then comes the cherry blossoms (i plan to get a picture of that) & the wild flowers in the fields (will get a picture of that too).
  3. My darling hubby can’t stop sneezing – hayfever!

Spring dance anyone?? 😉

Introducing Our New Picture-maker aka Camera…

Yes we got a new point & shoot digital camera – our trusty old Canon is still good to use but it’s getting really slow & eats up batteries like nobody’s business & it does not have a wide enough lens (see previous post & then see Leonny’s post about the same subject – we both tried taking the same picture of the both of us & the boys in the background as you will see her camera did better or maybe i was a bad photographer?)

So meet our Nikon Coolpix 210S, bought in KL. It is not the latest fanciest model but it has all the functions we want – a rechargeable battery (no need to constantly buy new ones), a wider lens, slimmer, lighter, more scene selection, takes longer videos, more megapixels etc… – it was on special & came with a cute mini tripod & free memory card so we are happy 😀

& say a fond farewell to our Canon PowerShot A40:

But… i think we might give the Canon to Tobias so that he can start taking pictures too, he has shown great interest while we were in Singapore – so you might see some more of Canon in action yet.

Meeting from Cyberworld to Realworld…

While in Singapore this time, it was wonderful that i got to meet one of the blogger mums whom i regularly read – Leonny from Our Everyday Things.

We met up at VivoCity one morning. She is a mother to two adorable children & is a great writer/blogger, positive & inspiring. However Tobias & myself only got to meet her younger child, her son Vai as her daughter, Anya was at school.

After some hesitance, the boys had lots of fun together while the mums chatted the morning away.

It is nice to finally meet someone i have only messaged in blogsphere – interesting to find out that we share a few things in common, such as we both studied in Western Australia & we both know Karen Cheng from Perth 😀

i hope very much to get more opportunities to meet my blogsphere friends 😉
