Today at Forty to Forever, we rally for the second precious little girl whom the Lanz family are bringing home; Jennifer. The country they are adopting requires separate fees for each child so that means double the fees. Please help them to meet their goal today. Lanz FamilyWe are ordinary people who serve an extraordinary God. He has led us in this adventure of life. We were married in 1980, with me (Randi) fresh out of high school. Our first daughter was born a little over a year after that, with our second daughter following two years later.

My attention was drawn to the needs of parent-less children through a regular weekly feature on a local news station. Each week they put the spotlight on a special needs child who needed a home. Then as now – the need is great. Long story short – we adopted two biological brothers, both diagnosed with cerebral palsy and mental retardation. Was it hard? You bet!

Day 14: Lance for the Schmitt Family… Forty to Forever…

Today we are helping the Schmitt family bring little Lance home. This is a family where adoption has always been in their heart and they have worked to help many others before. Now God has led them to their very own little Lance, they are definitely jumping in with both feet. Let’s help them get funded.

Lance 2Today’s lovely family is near and dear to my heart.  Of all the friends I have made on this journey, Melissa is one of my closest!  In fact, she was the one who suggested we do a fundraiser for Lina in the first place.  You can read that story here.  Forty to Forever would have never happened if it were not for the heart of gold God has blessed Melissa with.  And I will be forever grateful that He saw fit to cross our paths!  Melissa and Todd are bringing this beautiful boy home, and he needs to get home quickly!  Let’s tackle these fundraising goals today shall we?
