How’s Lexi Adapting?

This is a question I get asked quite often since we returned to Singapore.

But before I get to that, it has been a shocking 3 whole months of no posts on this blog. Getting adjusted to a new lifestyle and split household living is taking longer than expected. But we are getting there. I will try my best to get back to once a moth postings but no promises.

So back to today’s post.

It’s a valid question – after all, our Lexi was born and raised in a four-season country, enjoying much cooler climates.

We think she has done very well. Except for the initial bout of stomach issues (see this January post), she seems to have adjusted and is enjoying life here. I know she misses being able to go everywhere with us and riding on public transport but we try to take her with us whenever we can and we go on special outings just for her. While things are different here, she has been showered with lots of additional attention from my Mum and Brother and of course, from Tobias, whose room is once again her sleeping quarters.

Here’s a little photo gallery of Lexi adventures in Singapore (Dec 2024 to June 2025):

Wishing you all a happy, warm, sunny June.

High Time for a Dedicated Lexi Post

Oh my, I just checked and am so shocked to realised that I have not posted about Lexi since mid-2021! I have featured her in some of our other posts but there has not been a Lexi solo post for many moons. So let’s enjoy some Lexi adorable-ness:

Hope you enjoyed that 😀

I will try not to wait so very long to do another Lexi post.

Happy Almost Weekend!

Lexi’s 3rd Birthday

Yep, she’s 3 now! i think in doggy years that 21 years old! So according to all the doggy books, she should be well settled and grown into a mature, calm adult dog. That’s what they say… BUT… she’s still her stubborn, funny, dirt/rubbish/poo-eating standard black Schnauzer self… LOL…

We love her anyways!

She was treated to a doggy birthday cake which was so big i gave it to her for 3 meals! Lexi had cake for breakfast, cake for dinner and then cake for a second breakfast. She loved it, especially the whipped cream bit!

For presents, she was given a big bag of new doggy chicken snack; she absolutely adores chicken, which dog doesn’t. She got a new soft toy in the shape of an octopus; it’s called Octi. And a new bright green ball to chase and fetch.

i will have to say that there is one way to tell that she’s more grown up. She was happy to sit for a photo so we have a nice photo of her with her cake and presents this year!
